BASEBALL NETTING SPECIFICATION(#42)

Baseball netting best applied to maximum abuse, abrasion and impact shall be fabricated from a minimum of #42 nylon fiber, 1 ¾” square mesh, weather treated in green or black knotted netting, with a minimum break strength of 354 pounds per strand.

All netting shall be bound with a rope border. Hardware, including “S” hooks or snaps, shall be installed as requested.

Baseball netting best applied to maximum abuse, abrasion and impact shall be fabricated from a minimum of #36 nylon fiber, 1 ¾” square mesh, weather treated in black knotted netting, with a break test of 203 lbs pounds per strand.

GOLF NETTING

Golf netting best applied to heavy abuse, abrasion and impact shall be fabricated from a minimum of #18 nylon fiber, 7/8" square mesh, weather treated in black knotted nylon netting with minimum break strength of 162 pounds per strand.

All netting shall be bound with a 5/16” braided poly rope.


SCREENGARD


1.0   Scope

1.1This purchase requirement is for a premium type high tenacity vinyl coated polyester fabric.
1.2 The fabrication of windscreen panels shall be in accordance with the drawings and/or as described elsewhere in this specification.

2.0   Special Requirements

2.1Windscreen panels shall be ScreenGard or an approved equal evidencing a minimum of ten years of satisfactory field performance experience.

3.0   Materials

3.1Fabric: The fabric furnished shall be woven from 3.3 ounce per square yard polyester material coated after weaving with a 5.0 ounce per square yard coating of dark poly vinyl chloride coating, color shall be special green per color chip DC-61P. Tensile strength when tested per the grab method shall be 230 x 200 pounds and when tested by the strip method, shall be 200 x 140 pounds.
3.2Coating: The weather protective coating systems shall be formulated to comply with the following minimum test performance standards:

4.0   Fabrication

4.1 Hems and Seams: all hems shall be 3 ply.
Windscreens 9' high shall have a center seam with internal reinforcement as above. All hems and seams are to be sewn with #7 weather and ultraviolet light high resistant dacron thread.
4.2Grommets: Grommets shall be of brass material spaced at a maximum of 18" apart on all hems. A 9" high windscreen center seam shall have grommets as above.
